Things to bring to all Troop meetings: (the 10 essentials*)

 
  1. Fannypack or small day pack
  2. Scout Handbook
  3. Pencil or pen
  4. Notepad
  5. Compass
  6. Matches and/or fire starters
  7. Pocketknife (After you get totin’ chit.)
  8. First aid kit (small)
  9. Emergency blanket
  10. Flashlight

    * Note: this is different than the Outdoor Essentials that you take on outings-they are listed on page 208 of the Boy Scout Handbook
  Uniform  

When to wear the uniform:
Class A: The class “A” is the tan shirt and scout pants with all proper patches and your Reg.-card. You also wear it to all campouts/outings and to the first meeting of the month.
Class B: (Troop T-shirt) Wear to all campouts/outings under class A shirt and also to second, third and, fourth meetings.

Meetings usually are as follows: (for the location click here)
  1. Arrival 7:30
  2. Flag 7:45
  3. Announcements/Awards 7:45-8:00
  4. Skit, Demo 8:00-8:15
  5. Skills/Advancement Work/Preparation for outings 8:15-9:00
  6. Closing 9:00
Points

As a patrol you get “graded” for being prepared, for attendance (to meetings, activities and outings) and appearance at the uniform inspection (first Tuesday), and for bringing a parent to the parent meeting (first Tuesday). You also get points for advancement and merit badges. Prizes are awarded at Court of Honor.

Fifth Tuesday

When there is a fifth Tuesday in a month we go to Laser Quest, bowling, Malibu Grand Prix or other fun places as a Troop activity.
