2025 Pinnacles

For the first outing of 2025 Troop 27 went to Pinnacles National Park. The troop went on a day hike in the park that went through caves and eventually led to a beautiful lake where the troop stopped for lunch. When the troop came back the patrols went through stations to practice scout skills like fire building and working as a team. After dinner the scouts played a game of capture the flag in the dark with Glowsticks. The next day we had a very cold morning and it got down to around 24 degrees. Scouts were cold but warmed up with a hot breakfast. Later in the morning patrols went on an orienteering course around the campsite to practice compass and navigation skills. The scouts had a great time hiking and experiencing cold-weather camping.
