American River Outing – Black Miner’s Bar

This August Troop 27 headed to Black Miner’s Bar on the American River for an exciting weekend of canoeing. Scouts who had not yet earned their Canoeing Merit Badge had the opportunity to work toward and complete the badge, others worked on their White Water Merit Badge. The troop greatly enjoyed the outdoor scenery and spent the second day running the river, navigating small rapids, and practicing their skills on the water. It was a fun and memorable outing with many accounts of beautiful scenery, teamwork, and plenty of time outdoors.
